See...this is the reason I'm hesitant to leave BigPond. I love BigPond.

They told El that it would be 4 working days once the line was connected before we'd have internet. No big deal, we still had the 3 thing to use. (and that gets MUCH better reception here than it did at the old place!)

I called the new house at 11...and it worked. So, I called El to let her know. She said she'd give BigPond a call.

She called me back about 20 minutes (or less) later to tell me that the internet was on. I was on my way home anyway because I'm waiting for the undercoat to dry and have some lunch...so, I got the modem out and hooked it up to the laptop (because I really can't be bothered to hook the PC up right now...and El's Macs confuse me with their one cordedness)...and voila! BigPond works beautifully!

Why can't BigPond be owned by someone other than Telstra? *sigh*
